A unit of MetLife Inc. is making international dental travel assistance services a standard part of its dental preferred provider organization plans.
MetLife, New York, has always paid benefits to dental PPO plan enrollees who received dental care outside the United States.
The new services will provide 24-hour access to coordinators who can help connect enrollees with prescreened dental care providers in about 200 countries, MetLife says.
MetLife is getting the services from AXA Assistance USA Inc., Chicago, a unit of AXA S.A., Paris.
In other benefits news, M Financial Group, Portland, Ore., a financial services marketing consortium, is recommending the ID Theft Assist service package from Worldwide Benefit Services L.L.C., Boonton, N.J., to member firms.
