An insurer that uses life insurance to help clients save for long term care costs hopes to increase sales through financial institutions.

State Life Insurance Company, a unit of OneAmerica Financial Partners Inc., Indianapolis, is assigning external wholesalers territories, to accommodate producers who focus on the bank distribution channel.

State Life sells a product that combines life insurance with LTC benefits, a product that combines a deferred annuity with LTC benefits, and an immediate annuity designed for individuals who are already receiving long term care.

The company also sells an ordinary deferred annuity.

State Life sells the products in all states except New York.
