Principal Financial Group Inc. has come out with an analysis of the factors that increase employee satisfaction with nonqualified deferred compensation programs.

Marketers at Principal, Des Moines, Iowa, have found, for example that 64% of non-qualified deferred comp plan participants say the plan is important to their decision to stay with their current employer, and 92% say the plan is an important part of their efforts to reach their retirement goals.
