The Employee Benefits Security Administration says 5 seats are opening up on the 15-member Advisory Council on Employee Welfare and Pension Benefit Plans.

The council, also known as the Employee Retirement Income Security Act Advisory Council, advises the secretary of Labor on issues related to ERISA.

EBSA needs to find replacements for council members with terms set to expire Nov. 14.

One of the new council members should be an actuarial counselor, one should represent the interests of employers, and one should represent the investment counselors, officials say.
