A Southwestern state has picked a group disability and group life benefits vendor.
The state of Arizona has hired a unit of Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Hartford, to provide group life, short-term disability, long-term disability, and accidental death and dismemberment coverage for state employees.
Every employee will get group life coverage automatically.
Employees can choose to buy the STD coverage, supplemental life coverage, and the AD&D coverage bundled with the supplemental life coverage on a voluntary basis, Hartford says.
The group life coverage includes funeral planning benefits, Hartford says.
