The Iowa Insurance Division is running a series of 18 meetings this summer aimed at giving Hawkeye State residents information about long term care insurance.
The meetings will feature an Iowa division senior health specialist along with a long term care coverage specialist from the state’s Senior Health Insurance Information Program, according to division officials.
The meetings include an overview of long term care insurance, updates about legislative changes affecting LTC products, and a discussion of ways consumers can get answers to questions about LTC insurance and resolve LTC-related complaints.
The Iowa division says it will encourage meeting attendees to submit comments to help it shape recommendations about changes to the laws and regulations that govern LTC insurance sales and service.
