Personnel Changes: Florida, National Life, Others

The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation has named Eric Lingswiler to be director of life and health product review.

Lingswiler has been the interim director. He previously was the investigation manager in Florida’s special investigative unit.

He also has been supervisor of the Bureau of Life and Health Forms and Rates, and he has helped manage Florida viatical settlement industry regulatory efforts.

In other personnel news:

- National Life Group, a unit of NLV Financial Corp., Montpelier, Vt., has hired Patrick Lang to be vice president of sales strategies and business development at National Life.

Lang previously was vice president for advanced sales at the Lincoln Financial Distributors unit of Lincoln National Corp., Radnor, Pa.

Lang has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts and a master’s degree and a law degree from Western New England College.

Lang holds the Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant professional designations. He also is an associate editor of the Journal of Financial Services Professionals, and he has been chair of the Advanced Sales Committee at LIMRA International, Windsor, Conn.

- Apex Global Partners Inc., Dallas, has hired Brad Williams to be director of business development for Oklahoma for the Oklahoma employee benefits and human resources consulting division. Williams will open a new Apex office in Oklahoma City, Okla.
