The on-line site, developed for Aetna by the Jellyvision Lab Inc., Chicago, has 3 modules. The first helps employees choose a medical and dental plan that fit their requirements. Another component helps them decide how much life and disability insurance they will need. A third module is devoted to choosing other available benefits, including pharmacy, employee assistance programs services and offers online personal health records and other services.
Aetna says it tested the Personal Benefits Advisor with a number of customers over the last 9 month, including the Federal government. Employees in the test rated it highly on helpfulness, the company says.
