Assurant Health is giving all permanent policyholders access to health care advocacy services from Patient Care.
Patient Care, a unit of Labyrinth Healthcare Group Inc., New Orleans, provides advice about using health plans and health savings accounts; cost and quality data; help with getting preauthorization approvals; and assistance with resolving claims and billing problems.
Assurant Health, Milwaukee, a unit of Assurant Inc., began offering Patient Care access to all new individual and small group medical plans in July 2008.
Assurant Health reports that it now has extended the original contract and made the benefit available to all holders of permanent coverage.
