Bruce Nicholson, chairman, president, and CEO of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, has announced his intention to retire before the end of 2010.
The exact date of his departure has not yet been set, but the company’s board of directors has appointed a selection committee to find Nicholson’s replacement and has retained an executive search firm to help with the effort.
Nicholson jointed the Lutheran Brotherhood in 1990 as executive vice president and chief financial officer. In 1997, he was promoted to chief operating officer, and he was elected president of the organization in 1999. The following year he was named CEO.
In other personnel moves:
OneAmerica Financial Partners Inc., Indianapolis, has promoted Vicki Yamasaki to the position of chief risk officer, effective July 1.
Yamasaki had been OneAmerica’s vice president of strategic planning since 2004.
