A player in the group benefits market will be offering a package of outplacement services along with basic employee assistance program services.
The Wellesley Hills, Mass.-based U.S. benefits arm of Sun Life Financial Inc., Toronto, says it will be marketing the outplacement services option along with the basic EAP program it gets from ComPsych Corp., Chicago.
Sun Life offers ComPsych EAP programs to all group life, long-term disability, short-term disability and self-insured customers.
The outplacement services package includes up to 3 telephone coaching sessions with a counselor who can give advice about topics such as resume writing. The package also includes a written transition guide and a Web-based workshop that covers job search basics.
