The National Association of Professional Benefit Administrators wants to organize a lobbying campaign on behalf of the flexible spending account program.

The Obama administration has suggested that cutting or eliminating the FSA tax break could be a way to finance health reform, according to NAPBA, Madison, Wis.

“Removing FSAs will be a tax increase on working employees, and President Obama promised tax breaks during his campaign!” NAPBA says.

NAPBA will be holding a free webinar at noon CDT Friday to organize member efforts to tell lawmakers about the value of FSAs and enlist the support of members’ clients.

More information about the webinar is available here.
