U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has said of recent financial system stress tests that they are “helping to increase confidence” and that the nation is “starting to heal” from the economic strife of the past several months.
According to Cathy Weatherford, CEO and president of NAVA, the Association for Insured Retirement Solutions: “We have recently seen a number of positive indicators that consumers should take confidence in. And while the markets are certainly coming back, there can always be fluctuations, which means guaranteed income for life is critical.”
