The New York Life Foundation is giving $40,000 to the Actuarial Foundation’s Building Your Future initiative.

The New York Life Foundation, an affiliate of New York Life Insurance Company, New York, says the grant will support efforts by the Actuarial Foundation, Schaumburg, Ill., to develop a financial literacy curriculum for high school students.

The series includes a book that covers topics such as savings accounts, credit cards and taxes; a second book that covers loans and insurance; and a third book that covers inflation and investment basics.
