The Spark Institute contends in a white paper that employer-sponsored retirement plan fees and expenses are generally more reasonable than critics realize.

The institute, a Simsbury, Conn., group that represents large retirement services providers, says there are “many myths, misperceptions and misunderstandings” about retirement plans.

In the white paper, the institute makes the case that value, benefits, effectiveness, security and viability continue to make the employer-sponsored plan an excellent retirement savings vehicle.
