Gradient Financial has announced a new community outreach program, Gradient Gives Back, which will provide financial makeovers to needy families beginning in May. Bill Rancic, Donald Trump’s “Apprentice” winner, will act as Gradient’s national spokesperson.

“From tax planning to career counseling, Gradient’s highly skilled financial team is going to be able to make a substantial impact on these families’ financial situations. I’m thrilled to be on board,” said Rancic.

For eight months beginning this month, Gradient will select a number of families to receive services including financial analysis and tax planning (review of the previous 2 years’ tax returns, assessment of current income and expenses, filing of 2009 and 2010 tax returns), financial planning (review of current assets, determination of risk tolerance, setting of retirement goals), career counseling (interview and technical training, assessment of skills and marketability, writing of resume) and financial assistance (payment of up to six months’ housing costs, assistance with other debts, application for government assistance, acquisition of charitable donations).

Gradient is working with financial professionals across the country to identify families for the program. The first financial makeover will be granted by August 2009
