Most individuals who have health savings accounts like their HSAs.
Marketers at OptumHealth Inc., Golden Valley, Minn., a unit of UnitedHealth Group Inc., Minnetonka, Minn., have published that conclusion in a summary of results from a recent survey of 500 HSA holders.
About 82% of the HSA holders said they are satisfied with their accounts, and 78% believe any health reform efforts should preserve the HSA program, the marketers report.
About 80% of the survey participants said the ability to save for future health care expenses is the primary reason for using an HSA.
