Kathy Halverson writes – Your editorial comment (Stop the bi-polar prognosticating) in the April 2009 issue of LTC e-Wire was much appreciated. Although my 2008 business was consistent with the prior year, business fell off of a cliff in December.

As an exclusive long term care insurance professional, if I am having a downturn, I can only image what “casual” sellers of LTC are experiencing. Yes, I have thought of getting out of the business. Your words depicted my situation perfectly. What is an agent to do? The saga will continue.

We must keep on track and encourage agents to continue to market and sell LTC insurance. Our country needs individuals privately paying for care with insurance.
