Guardian Life Insurance Company of America has introduced a package that combines high-deductible health coverage with a health savings account and critical illness coverage.

The HSA-compatible, high-deductible health plan at the heart of the program provides 100% for preventive care, and it also offers access to Guardian’s provider network, according to Guardian, New York.

Guardian will overcome employee ignorance and confusion about HSA-compatible plans by using on-site enrollment meetings and an employee benefits hotline to educate plan participants about how the plans work, the company says.

The HSA-compatible supplemental critical illness insurance policy can fill the gaps when plan participants face certain types of severe health problems, Guardian says.
