A variable annuity issuer will be using the insights of another firm to strengthen a family of 5 risk-based asset-allocation portfolios.
MetLife Advisers L.L.C., a unit of MetLife Inc., New York, will be getting asset allocation, manager research, portfolio construction and risk analysis expertise from Wilshire Funds Management, a unit of Wilshire Associates Inc., Santa Monica, Calif., for the MetLife Asset Allocation Program portfolios.
The MAAP portfolios, part of the Met Investors Series Trust, are available primarily through MetLife Investors deferred variable annuities, MetLife says.
Each of the portfolios is designed to appeal to a specific type of investor, based on factors such as retirement time horizon and risk tolerance.
