The National Underwriter Company is launching the CFO Dialogues for the Life and Property-Casualty Insurance Industries.

The invitation-only forum will take place in New York City, according to The National Underwriter Company, Erlanger, Ky., the unit of Summit Business Media L.L.C., New York, that publishes National Underwriter Life & Health and the NU Online News Service.

The life session will take June 16, and the p-c session will take place June 17.

Developed in conjunction with Summit Live Events, a producer of live and Web-based events, the invitation-only forum will foster discussions between chief financial officers from prominent global life and property-casualty insurance firms.

“We’re in the midst of current historic market and economic changes, and the challenges facing leaders of the life and property-casualty insurance industries are greater than ever before,” says Sheila Brennan, senior program development manager at Summit Live Events. “The Dialogues will provide participants an informal, off the record setting to share ideas and solutions to mission-critical issues facing CFOs.”

The advisory board for the Dialogues includes Jill Paterson of Fireman’s Fund, Scott Lindquist of Farmer’s Group, Joe Roberts of Max Capital, Peter Hofmann of The Phoenix Companies, Richard Dziadzio of AXA Financial, David Magers of COUNTRY Financial, Edward Bonach of Conseco, and Steven Levy of Munich Re.

The Dialogues will address topics such as capital management in the new economy, managing risk across the enterprise, and regulation after the meltdown:
