Buck Adds Green Aid

A benefits consulting firm can help employers persuade employees to be more conservation-minded at home and at work.

Buck Consultants, New York, a unit of Affiliated Computer Services Inc., Dallas, has set up a “green awareness” consulting service.

The program includes monthly electronic newsletters, interactive tools, and help with organizing networks of green coordinators in local offices.

Tests show that the program can persuade about one-third of employees to increase recycling, decrease printing and reduce use of products such as bottled water and plastic cups, Buck says.

The program also can spur changes in transportation habits, Buck says.
