A policyholder information bureau is introducing a tool that will help life insurers make more efficient use of its data.
The product is a customizable tool that can screen the data returned to an insurance underwriting team by the MIB Checking and Insurance Activity Index Services system, according to MIB.
The filter prevents “information overload” by suppressing data that an insurer does not need to underwrite a particular risk, MIB says.
Possible users could include insurers with simplified-issue underwriting processes, MIB says.
