AAA Names Temporary Leader

Mary Downs is now the interim executive director at the American Academy of Actuaries.

Downs succeeds Grace Hinchman. Hinchman was not immediately available for comment.

Downs has been the general counsel of the AAA, Washington, since 2006. She has a law degree from Boston College.

The AAA represents 16,000 actuaries.
