Transamerica Insurance & Investment Group has set up a TransAbility Special Needs Trusts Strategy Center.
The center will help life insurance producers and others set up special needs trusts for clients who have children or other relatives with special needs, according to Transamerica, Los Angeles, a unit of AEGON N.V., The Hague, Netherlands.
The new center is running a Web site that provides brochures, presentations and other special needs trust support tools, Transamerica says.
Transamerica also has formed an alliance with Knights Administration Inc., Tampa, Fla., a national, Web-based, independent trust administration company.
Knights will provide provide case referrals; help place cases with banks, nonprofit groups or trustees; and connect clients with lawyers.
