Preferred Health Plan Inc. is withdrawing from the market.

Preferred Health, Klamath Falls, Ore., was started in 2001 by Sky Lakes Medical Center, Klamath Falls, and now has about 3,600 enrollees in Klamath County and Lake County in Oregon.

The company is looking for another insurer to pick up its business, according to officials at the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services.

Most members are enrolled in large group and small group plans, but some have individual policies and portability policies, officials say.
