Assurant Employee Benefits is making a new feature available with voluntary life policies.
The Kansas City, Mo.-based benefits division of Assurant Inc., New York, is offering accidental death and dismemberment coverage available on a standard basis at a single rate when an employee buys its voluntary life and AD&D products.
Dependent AD&D benefits will equal any dependent life benefit, doubling the amount of total coverage available for an employee’s dependents, Assurant says.
Assurant will simplify administration by using the employee’s age to determine the spouse’s premium, the company says.
