Golden Rule Insurance Company has introduced five medical insurance products aimed at individuals and families living in Connecticut.

The products offer more wellness and preventive care benefits, more deductible choices, and new “Saver” options, according to Golden Rule, Indianapolis, a unit of UnitedHealth Group Inc., Minnetonka, Minn.

Golden Rule is known for helping to develop the health savings account concept, but the new portfolio includes traditional co-payment plans as well as HSA plans and other high-deductible plans, Golden Rule says.

Golden Rule also sells short term health insurance policies in Connecticut.
