Highline Delivers 2008 Statutory Filing Data

A National Underwriter Life & Health sister company already has started releasing 2008 full-year insurance company statutory financial data.

Highline Data, a unit of Summit Business Media L.L.C., New York, the same company that owns National Underwriter, already is providing key financial data items for all insurers that filed annual statements before Feb. 28.

Highline Data also is providing key financial data for all of the top 100 individual insurance companies that filed their annual statements before March 1.

Highline Data is making the data available through its Insurance Analyst PRO online product.

The top carriers in the property-casualty category were chosen based on 2007 net premiums; in the life, health and accident category, on 2007 total net admitted assets; and, in the health category, on 2007 net premium income.

Key data from top 100 companies that file after March 1 will be made available on a rolling basis, with full data delivery coming the week of March 9, when a larger universe of company data will be released by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, Washington.

Many critical schedules were due March 2. They include pages concerning assets, liabilities, cash flow, statement of income and Schedule T.
