An offshore affiliate of Pan-American Life Insurance Company Inc. will be selling offshore life plans to international visitors who are in Florida.
Pan-American Assurance Company International Inc., George Town, Cayman Islands, has opened a Florida-authorized branch in Miami, according to Pan-American Life, New Orleans.
The branch has a certificate of authority to offer Cayman-authorized insurance products to prospects who are not citizens or residents of the United States.
The branch will sell universal life and term life products, and organizers expect many of the customers to be travelers from Latin America, Pan-American Life says.
