Aflac Schedules Conference Call

An insurer plans to hold a Web meeting at 9 a.m. Feb. 3 to discuss the company’s finances.

Aflac Inc., Columbus, Ga., says Dan Amos, the company’s chairman, will discuss the strength of the company’s capital position along with 2008 financial highlights.

Rating analysts and others recently have suggested that the Aflac investment portfolio could take a hit if world governments nationalize many large financial institutions.
