- The retirement services division at Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, Springfield, Mass., has named Robert Shull third-party administrator channel manager for the Western region and has hired Tiffany Hanks to be TPA channel manager for the Eastern region.

Shull, who previously was a MassMutual managing director for Alaska, northern California and northern Nevada, will be based in San Francisco.

Hanks, who has worked for a Hartford-based unit of ING Groep N.V., will be based in Arlington, Va.

- JHA, Portland, Maine, a unit of General Re Life Corp., Stamford, Conn., has hired Leo Tinkham to be vice president of marketing and business development.

Tinkham previously was an independent underwriting and marketing consultant.

Tinkham has a bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College and a master’s degree in business from the University of Southern Maine. He holds the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist professional designation.
