A variable annuity seller will be offering consumers a choice of more investment options that allocate assets to a combination of stock and fixed-income securities.

Transamerica Capital Inc., Denver, a distribution unit of AEGON N.V., The Hague, Netherlands, says it will be making 4 new investment options available with the variable annuities Retirement Income Choice living benefit rider and Double Enhanced Death Benefit rider sold by Transamerica Life Insurance Company.

The options include a balanced fund, a balanced fund aimed at investors who do not have to worry about tax considerations, a program that invests in a combination of stocks and income-producing securities, and a program that uses a menu of stock funds and exchange-traded funds to invest 65% of assets in stock and 35% in fixed-income securities, Transamerica says.
