M Financial Group, a life insurance distribution consortium, is letting E-Z Data Inc. run the company’s SmartOffice agency management system on its own computers.
M Financial, Portland, Ore., has been offering the SmartOffice system to member firms without using E-Z Data services.
E-Z Data, Pasadena, Calif., began offering hosting services after M Financial already was using the SmartOffice system.
M Financial now is using a version of SmartOffice that is hosted by E-Z Data, E-Z Data says.
M Financial’s own staff will continue to handle SmartOffice training and carrier connections.
