An ancillary benefits player is switching to a new provider directory system.
The group division at Ameritas Life Insurance Corp., Lincoln, Neb., a unit of UNIFI Mutual Holding Company, Lincoln, Neb., says it has upgraded the Ameritas dental preferred provider organization directory technology.
The directory now will be updated daily, rather than weekly, and the directory will indicate which dentists and other providers are accepting new Ameritas patients, the company says.
Ameritas also has added a “search by county” option; increased the maximum number of results displayed to 200, from 75; and included information about discounts that providers offer beyond the usual Ameritas-negotiated rate discounts.
