James Weakley will be the chair of LL Global Inc., the parent of LIMRA and LOMA, in 2009.
Weakley is the executive vice president for strategic growth initiatives at the American General Domestic Life Companies, a unit of American International Group Inc., New York.
Dayton Molendorp, chairman of OneAmerica Financial Partners Inc., Indianapolis, was elected vice chair of LL Global, Windsor, Conn., and is set to succeed Weakley in 2010, according to LL Global.
