A health insurer that has focused on large and midsize employers is expanding its reach.
CIGNA HealthCare, Bloomfield, Conn., an arm of CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia, says it already has started to sell individual, family and small group coverage in Arizona and Texas and is preparing to roll out new products in Colorado, Florida, Tennessee and other states.
The plans include a high-deductible policy that is compatible with health savings accounts.
The plans offer access to a network of about 500,000 doctors, hospitals, clinics and other health care providers, CIGNA says.
All of the plans also offer access to a 24-hour health information line and discounts on services such as weight management classes, tobacco cessation programs and fitness club memberships, CIGNA says.
