The American College is waiving new student fees and cutting tuition 20% for students affected by the economic turmoil.

The Bryn Mawr, Pa., financial services colleges is offering the aid to students who have lost access to tuition reimbursement programs or who have been displaced as a result of the upheaval.

The new Career Transition Access Program applies to the American College master of science in financial services degree program, and to the college Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant and Certified Financial Planner designation programs.

The tuition discounts will go to qualified applicants who enroll in the college programs by the end of the year, the college says.
