Financial Finesse has 400 corporate clients and employs six CFPs–whom it compensates via a salary and a bonus. But CEO Liz Davidson stresses that the company is very choosy in who it hires–out of 100 resumes, Financial Finesse usually hires only two, she says. Granted, some of the candidates “self-select out” because the company puts them through an extensive recruiting process, she says. “Along the way you’re starting to learn that either you’re really excited to become an educator or maybe this isn’t exactly what I want,” Davidson says.
