MassMutual/Financial Professionals Donate More Than $500,000 to Non-Profit Organizations Across the Country

Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual), Springfield, Mass., has announced it has donated more than $500,000 through the company’s matching gift program for its network of financial professionals, and also awarded eight $10,000 grants to non-profit organizations supported locally by the philanthropic efforts of its local financial professionals.

Each year MassMutual helps recognize and encourage the generosity of its financial professionals by matching their charitable contributions to qualified non-profit organizations, and making additional direct donations to the organizations they actively support. Last year, $518,019 was distributed through the company’s Matching Gift Program, providing support to more than 600 organizations includingthe Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and the American Cancer Society.

In addition, MassMutual has awarded eight $10,000 grants to non-profit organizations where its financial professionals regularly volunteer their time.

“Volunteering and community involvement have always been an important part of MassMutual’s culture,” says Trish Robinson, senior vice president, Strategic Communications and Community Responsibility and deputy head of Government Relations. “We are proud of the role our financial professionals play in helping families and businesses build their financial future and equally proud of their generosity and countless hours they dedicate to charitable organizations in their communities.”
