Medical Mutual of Ohio has agreed to use a payroll-deduction health plan payment card program from E-Duction Inc.

Medical Mutual, Cleveland, will be adopting the CLEAR Card system, according to E-Duction, Blue Bell, Pa.

The CLEAR Card program lets workers who spend more than $199 on out-of-pocket health care expenses and less than a pre-set amount use a card that resembles a MasterCard card get 6 months of interest-free financing.

For health care expenses under $199, employees get 2 months of interest-free financing, E-Duction says.

Enrolled employees can pay back charges in equal installments using an automated payroll deduction system, E-Duction says.

Employers are not responsible for the employees’ credit charges, E-Duction says.
