Wells Fargo & Company’s insurance brokerage subsidiary has acquired Herder-Tarricone Associates, an agency in Three Bridges, N.J.

It did not disclose terms of the transaction.

Wells Fargo Insurance Services Inc., Chicago, has 600 employees in banking, insurance and financial service operations in 40 communities across New Jersey, according to the company’s announcement.

Nationwide, the insurance division now has 171 offices in 37 states employing a total of 7,200 insurance professionals, according to Wells Fargo, San Francisco.

Herder-Tarricone sells employee benefits, financial services and insurance to businesses and individuals. It will continue to operate in its current location.
