The group benefits division at Liberty Mutual Group is offering new help for beneficiaries who file death claims.
Liberty Mutual, Boston, says it will designate trained case managers to guide beneficiaries through the claim process, assist with paperwork and offer other resources.
Case managers will have at least 8 years of experience in life claims and will be trained in bereavement counseling, the company says.
Case managers also will advise employers on how to support beneficiaries filing claims, the company says.
Liberty Mutual says its research found that 63% of group life buyers would lean toward an insurer that could deliver strong claim support.
