The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors says it will take part in the Million Dollar Round Table/GAMA International mentoring program.

The mentoring program, started in 1996, is designed to reduce agent turnover, teach rookie agents how to break into the industry and increase their production, while allowing seasoned advisors to share their wisdom.

NAIFA will begin its pilot program this fall with 3 of its local associations: NAIFA-Omaha, NAIFA-Chicago and NAIFA-Minneapolis/NAIFA-Central Minnesota.

Each local group will work with members of MDRT, Park Ridge, Ill., to identify up to 5 pairs of mentors and their prot?g?es, called “aspirants.” Aspirants will be selected from local NAIFA Young Advisors Teams.

NAIFA says it may add more pilot mentoring programs in the future.
