America’s Health Insurance Plans has launched a national education campaign to tell consumers about their risks of needing long term care.
The campaign seeks to impress on the public that LTC insurance offers valuable financial protection, says AHIP, Washington.
At the center of the campaign is a new Website, , to provide consumers with basic information about LTC insurance. The site includes videos that feature actual stories from current policyholders, an interactive online quiz and other resources.
AHIP says its surveys and focus groups have found that many Americans underrate the risk and cost of LTC, and that many mistakenly believe they have LTC coverage.
