New Tools Track Abusive Absences

Nationwide Better Health has expanded its Time Off Planning Service to include features aimed at workers who may be violating employer absence rules.

Nationwide Better Health, a unit of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, Columbus, Ohio, says employers that adopt the TOPS program now can use it to mark absences as unexcused, establish probationary periods, generate disciplinary letters, keep an accurate record of unexcused absences, and show policy violation trends over time or across organizational units.
