The Texas Association of Mexican-American Chambers of Commerce has agreed to market health coverage from UnitedHealthcare to member businesses.
TAMACC, Austin, Texas, has designated UnitedHealthcare, a unit of UnitedHealth Group Inc., Minnetonka, Minn., as its “health insurance carrier of choice,” the group says.
In addition to offering the coverage to members and 29 affiliated Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, TAMACC will offer the coverage to its own employees, the group says.
The coverage package includes PlanBien, a set of UnitedHealthcare benefits and support products, and services aimed towards individuals who prefer to deal with health insurance matters in Spanish.
