Michigan Gets New Chief Deputy

Stephen Hilker is now chief deputy commissioner at the Michigan Office of Financial and Insurance Regulation.

Ken Ross, the Michigan commissioner, says that the regulation office will have just one chief deputy commissioner, and that the operations of the Office of Financial Evaluation and the Office of Regulatory Compliance & Consumer Assistance will be combined.

Hilker previously was a bureau director at the Michigan Department of Treasury

Hilker has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and statistics from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in business from Michigan State University.

Hilker holds the Certified Public Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Internal Auditor professional designations.
