Founded in 2002, the Certified College Planning Specialist (CCPS) designation is a program with an intense focus on college financial planning. All advisors interested in the CCPS designation must have another professional financial designation, financial license, or a combination of education and experience deemed satisfactory by The National Institute of Certified College Planners (NICCP) Advisory Council before enrolling in the certification program. In order to apply, advisors must complete an Application for Certification, pass comprehensive examinations, agree to abide by the NICCP and CCPS’s Code of Ethics, and meet continuing education requirements. For more information, visit www.niccp.com.
