The Northamptonshire Teaching Primary Care Trust has hired an arm of a U.S. company to help it improve the care it provides.

The trust is one of the regional primary care trusts, or health care buying organizations, that the U.K. government has organized in an effort to improve the quality of the country’s health care system.

UnitedHealth UK, part of UnitedHealth Group Inc., Minnetonka, Minn., will help the Northamptonshire trust assess health care needs in its region, manage use of resources, improve patient satisfaction and promote the creation of wellness programs, UnitedHealth reports.
